I grew up in Oakland and went to school with Huey Newton's son, so it opened my eyes to the struggles that existed not only in Oakland, but in other areas like Chicago. The cast was fantastic and the cine photography was beautiful. Daniel Kaluuya depiction of Chairman Fred Hampton, captured every nuance from his charismatic and passionate personality, to his southern accent. This years best film.

Very well produced. Great script. Amazing acting across all cast members including the subtleties captured in facial expressions. Film seemed to accurately capture the story truthfully, without cinematic dramatizations. I only wish that the youth of the depicted individuals was captured, or made more obvious. I think it is important to state just how young these leaders were. Great job overall!

It was the perfect depiction of the story of Chairman Fred Hampton. I played one of the Core Black Panthers in the film and I loved to see how it came together. I would definitely recommend this movie because we should all know about the life, legacy and impact Chairman Fred left in this world. #longlivechairmanfred
