Told the story in a refreshing and unique way, balancing tones impressively. I did not feel I was watching a paint-by-numbers script. Actors were terrific and shots that could have been ordinary were framed memorably. I'm still sorting out the end, it was a sad triumph but I think the sadness could have been developed more.
