excellent screenplay & casting worthy of Nina Gold's usual knack for expanding her usage of good if largely unknown actors to most American audiences. Especially enjoyed Tom Sturridge as "villain" since he is so good & straightfowardly honorable in Effie Gray. Carie Mulligan just keeps getting better.. This movie sucked and she was a player in this whole movie.. It was bad enough she was toying with men's feelings for her and tragic outcome later.. I don't consider this movie a romantic movie at all...
