It was interesting to see this film, set in Prescott, Arizona, as we have actually been to Prescott and driven through the area. However, this was several years before the time of the film.We enjoyed the movie, but went home very sad. Of course, I had to check the internet to read about the Granite Mountain Hotshots. It is good that someone chose to make this film to show the courage and dutful attitude of these men and to help preserve their memory.

I do enjoy movies re the police, firefighters, military and especially those based on true events. This movie did a great job in educating us on the "hotshots." As the movie progressed I remembered the news reports on this tragic story. At the close the atmosphere became very somber, especially as they showed the actor and then photos of the actual men who lost their lives Most applauded and I could sense the sympathy and the pride as we quietly left this excellent film! A powerful tribute to the heroic efforts of a group of wildland firefighters: the Granite Mountain Hotshots. This story demonstrated vividly, the grueling efforts of a band of brotherhood in a sometimes thankless job of protecting towns from destruction of rampaging fires. Josh Brolin and Miles Teller are the main focus of the group of 20, that engages your emotions, as you peek into firefighters families’ lives in gratitude to their efforts. Koskinski gives you a spectacularly cinematic view.
