We loved How to Train Your Dragon! The movie is beautifully filmed, has great action and fun characters and had us all laughing multiple times. Great family movie!

How To Train Your Dragon (2025) is exactly what you expect it to be. It’s basically a shot for shot remake of the original film, with some minute changes here and there, but nothing to ride home about. That’s basically how I would describe this film. It’s just a shoulder shrug. It does has some breathtaking visuals and decent performances, but that’s about it. Just kinda average at best.

One of the few "if you enjoyed the animated version, you will enjoy the live action version". Very little difference in story and dialog which is a double edge sword. The dragons are same animated version (kind of obvious). Kid who plays Hiccup is not very good at acting. Everyone else was good. Sadly, its is more of a see it at home movies if you already seen it in animation. Not much difference.

It’s one of the best from cartoon to real life adaptations I’ve seen. From character design to graphics, the movie doesn’t disappoint. I wish it was my first time seeing the movie because it would have been much more exciting if I didn’t know what was going to GM happen next. But because I’ve seen the cartoon, I can say that this version stayed true to the heart of the cartoon version.
