I personally did not enjoy this movie at all. I don’t know what I was expecting but it was not this. It was extremely heavy subject matter regarding mental health. I thought it would be more light hearted! Saying that, Joaquin Phoenix was incredible! It was an Oscar worthy performance from him. Thanks for the screening though.

Although Joaquin Phoenix did an EXCELLENT job in this role, the overall movie, I felt, was extremely slow. It was hard to watch someone who suffers from abuse and mental stability issues. Far too many people don't get the proper help. The musical score also accentuated his mental problems. It held my interest but I wouldn't watch this movie again.

No action just lots of talking

The movie was monotonous from beginning to end without a lot of drama, or engaging story. I was already checking my watch 20 minutes into the film. The Joker was neither suspenseful or intense or scary. It was hard for me to get emotionally attached which made me not care about any of the characters.
