The plot wasn’t great, the poster from the movie is deceiving.

Although this movie heavily relies on jumpscares, the imagery was creepy as hell. I wish it was less jumpscare-y and just more creepy imagery.

Entertaining and suspenseful.

I give it only 3 stars out of 5 but yes I would still recommend the film. The positives are thag the horror/thriller ties into the Conjuring universe of films, and also the main villain in the movie is more aggressive/brutal than traditional main villains in horror movies like this. There also are different angles that the scare effects come from that are unexpected so that is a plus.
