I enjoyed it but it was about 15 minutes longer than it could have been. Some parts were cliche and I believe it's being rushed out before the film DUNKIRK is released.I love timepiece films and I give an A- for recreating the time with scenes and costumes. Jeremy Irons was a nice surprise and Bill Nighy is always enjoyable. When the lead character's apartment building is destroyed, we don't know if her artist boyfriend was killed or not. If he had been and we saw it, it would have been an excellent metaphor for a chapter in her life ending so another could begin.I felt having the writer die from an on-set accident was unnecessary and contrived. Started losing interest after that.

The movie has a really interesting premise but having the two leads fall in love didn't work for me at all. If the film just stayed with her as a woman in a "Man's" world the performances and story would have been amazing as that social commentary. Bill Nighy is a scene stealer and I love everything he does in this film.

An escapism plot with just the right amount of laugh-out-loud moments. The most memorable scene was when the lead character of the Starling film walks up behind the battle scene at the beach. This provoked a good broad laugh throughout the audience. :)

Some of the British dialog was hard to understand, and the first half was a little slow, but the second half was great!
