I have never read the book. So I did not know what to expect. I really like this film a lot. It showed the love of a strong mother. and the intellectual thinking of a young girl in the game of chess who grew up literally on the streets. Definitely a feel good and must see movie

It is a special movie it had laughs and tears.

It was really well made, very good actors. I was thinking it must have been so difficult to film this movie with so so so many people/village involved. It showed that if one is determined they can make something of themselves even if one comes from nothing.

I thought it was an excellent movie! It even brought a tear to my eyes at the end
