I was worried that my favorite musical would be ruined by trying to redo it. Instead, I think it was even better then the original! The dancing, singing and acting were wonderful! The nice thing is they didn’t change the songs, just where they were in the movie. The only slight criticism I have was I feel Riff needed to be more buff. Good acting but he didn’t look like a leader of a gang.

I really enjoyed it, loved the music and seeing Rita Moreno. Never have seen the original BUT I still like this new movie, so sad when he was killed at the end, not sure where they took him though, that was a little puzzling

I thought the movie was very good. The acting and singing was beautiful.

Rachel Zegler as Maria was the perfect choice. Her voice dazzles throughout the move. Her performance as a starry eyed girl in love is heartwarming. Ansel Elgort as Tony Maria's love adds a great performance as he comes of age to understand what is important in life. Ariana DeBose as Anita gives a solid, energetic and amazing performance with her dancing. This is a must see in the theater.
