Joaquin Phoenix is incredible .

If you liked the first movie, there is still plenty of story here to entertain you. I like the subtle tie ins with the Batman universe, and Phoenix is a really good actor. As expected when I heard this would be a musical, I was a little bored with the musical numbers that mostly occur with Lady Gaga, typically in the joker’s daydreams. Every time I see her filler injected lips on screen I think, here we go with another long boring song. If I was watching this at home, I know what parts will get fast forwarded.

Not as good as first one, not even close but still good.

I felt that the plot was long drawn out. I expected a bit more action and less of the court sequence. There were also too many musical numbers. The songs all sounded alike. If there was more variety in the types of songs, it would've made the movie a little bit better. I was also not a fan of the ending. I expected maybe a cameo with Bruce Wayne or another character. I didn't like that he died because I think Joaquin Phoenix played a fantastic Joker and it's awful to see that he won't continue playing it.
