Not just for young adults or teens, it has none of that teenage angst or coming of age crap. It's a different way of doing a film, although the narration during the movie did help explain things. Lots of funny parts---way more than what you'd expect from a dramedy. I liked the ending because it was NOT a tearjerker. You knew all along that the girl was going to die.

Lovely movie... Not just about cancer and highschool but about making your own choices, loving yourself, friendship, real love- romantic or not.... The one thing I didn't like was that the narrator lied to the audience several times. At the end we find out why he's telling the story and the lies make no sense. That's one thing I didn't like.Otherwise great indie film- touching, funny, heartbreaking

A Wes Anderson style movie, with much more feelings, sincerity and natural. Wonderful cast, briilliant writing.
