Excellent movie for girls ages 13-19 and for mothers and daughter. Enjoyed the music. Liked the story line. Even tho it wasn't a mystery movie i wondered who done it and tried guessing (never guessed (til you're meant to). I immediately told my daughter that she had to see movie when it comes out. Actors were perfectly cast. Queen Latifah excellent as always.\rI would see this movie again.

I enjoyed the movie - The beginning really captures you and you can't wait to find out who did it. It kept me guessing almost up to the end.\rThere were enough suspects but they all seemed like good guys. So who did it?\r\rOne or more of the scenes were particularly gruesome - there might be some additional advisory. I'm thinking the title refers to 'be home' - "when the streetlights go on"?

I was impressed with the literary angle of the story. I was at first put off by the abrupt ending. But as I kept thinking about the story (and I did), I accepted it and then I liked it. There was a lot of emotional empathy and growth by the characters.
