A compelling and logical continuation of The Shining, Doctor Sleep adds a layer of understanding as to what the Overlook Hotel is, engaging the viewer in satisfying character development of its now-grown-up victim, Danny Torrance, while introducing a new generation of gifted children who also have "the Shine" and the monsters who hunt them.
