In the telling , 2+2 doesn't always completely add up. But i don't think it has to. I was surprisingly captivated. By the relationships: eg. Boogie/Mom, Boogie/bf, Boogie/gf. By the complexity of the cultural issues and subtlety of how they're portrayed: tea pouring, fortune telling, etal. The actress who played Boogie's gf did a really good job. By not over acting and the writer's under-character development, the relationship is convincing and sympathetic. I kinda think the viewer shouldn't look too deeply to find all the answers to enjoy the movie, and yet I HAD to ask myself why I did!
