Well made, beautiful cinematography, strong acting, story a little flat

Far From The Madding Crowd was an exhaustive exercise in the Victorian era mating dance. The heroine's arc succumbed to lust before need and by the time the latter was in tow the film felt too strained. The two that should have been all along ended up in a different kind of relationship, not the one the film depicts at the end.

It was free, otherwise I would not have gone to see it. It should go directly to DVD or Masterpiece , if they would take it.

I did not care for it.
