Good story, great acting, especially by Riz Ahmed. I learned a lot about the challenges of being deaf and trying to use prosthetics to overcome them.

Eye-opener about how much we rely on our senses and cannot fathom how to adapt with the loss of one. Ruben could not accept that he could still go on without hearing the world as he knew it. Even after adjusting, he did not feel like himself...all the while he just unearthed a side of him that he never knew. Ruben tried to return to the life he thought was normal, but realized losing his hearing helped him gain a whole new perspective on life.

Thought provoking point of view about a man on an unintended journey of discovery.

I liked it, the main character is like so many of US, holding on to a life that we know, not seeing a life that makes us LIVE....
