Atmospheric biopic of Marie Curie is best when Rosamund Pike is fighting to do what she loves, research. Takes you back in time to when women could not be scientists and shows her strong relationship with her husband, Pierre. \rFilm didn’t need the inserted segments showing destruction due to atomic bombs and energy which were oddly placed and disrupted flow of story. Wish there was more about her struggle for acceptance and how they learned to protect themselves when working with radium.

Would give this a 3.5. I found Pike's delivery hard to understand at the beginning of the film. Must have gotten used to it.

Story was interesting but confusing at times. Was too long, could have cut out scenes such as swimming scene. Too many pointless scenes.
