A very powerful and accurate representation of trauma and its resolution. My wife and I are both mental health professionals and we both remarked how Robin really captured the emotional freezing of how trauma can capture the whole body. And how getting away from others can be a very common coping strategy. Yet, it’s safe and accepting relationships, and coming to accept what is, that are just what’s needed for healing. The movie also showed how getting into nature can be a very powerful intervention that transcends words. Thank you to CAFilm and Focus for making this film available.

What a beautiful story of the difficulties of dealing with grief. You never actually know what it feels like for someone else who is struggling with loss, but I really felt like I understood what Edee was feeling. Her desire to give up but having that one voice in her head (her sister, Emma) asking her not to give up, really came through strongly. The respect that Miguel had for her wishes and how they helped each other be able to find purpose in life again without even knowing it. Simply touching.

It was really good!. Loved the natural settings and the contrast between nature's beauty and the harsh realities of survival. It was a great and uplifting ending for her character too.
