The film is well acted and stylized to get the point across about hearing loss/deafness and designed to give you the full experience. Riz is a great actor and we were glad to see him in something new since he did The Night Of, but we thought the timing of the release of this film was a mistake. A very good film, but also a very anxiety-fueled film that was too hard to deal with given all of the stress with Covid-19 going on right now, so we stopped watching around the middle because it was just compounding all of the stress we're already feeling in 2020. We will finish watching it later!

Not for me, a bit melancholy. \rNaturally considering the subject matter. Sonically it’s a masterpiece. You get to live his trials and tribulations right with him. Even down to the captions on the screen. It’s been a while since I’ve experience a movie like this but again in these days of a pandemic it’s hard for me to want to put money in something with a PLACE BEYOND THE PINES feel. \rThe distortions, the silence and the emotional strife. You along for the ride. Streaming yes, 11 bucks at a theater... not for me but I’m not mad at those that it is for.

It was a tragic but enthralling story. Riz Ahmed's performance was great!

A great film with great performances, and superb sound mixing and editing defintely will tell people to check this out when it drops on prime video
