I loved the idea and topic and storyline of this movie and thought it would be right up my alley based on the preview. Cinematically ambitious, I appreciated the creativity in the filmmaking and stylizing, but at some points it seemed to push too far in its frequent use of special effect filters, lenses and “interesting” cuts. The sci-fi music was sometimes distracting as well. It was darker/heavier than I anticipated. The parts where it ‘flashed forward’ seemed abrupt, and were the parts that I found most unsettling. The acting of Rosamund Pike was superb and carried the film for me.

More help on the story. More help on character building. Didn’t need those future scenes. They didn’t help the movie make sense.

The movie was slow and didn’t hold my attention unfortunately since the trailer looked awesome and it was a great story to be told. Acting was just OK and there was no standout performance. I didn’t even finish it

entertaining biopic with interesting parallels to current times. Would be good to watch on a plane if the film was available but wouldn't pay money to see.
