There’s a bit of “hand waving” with the story elements that seems like it might be typical of a Stephen King movie, and the horror elements were surprisingly minimal. Instead it’s a meditation on death and the afterlife, along with elements of a super hero story (reminiscent of Logan) that was surprisingly fascinating. Well acted with visuals that were a joy to take in.

Great follow up to the original The Shining. Recommend watching that movie first or again before you go

An excellent continuation of the original film. It had its own vibe and mood. The in depth look at some characters, connected to new ones, within the context of the original Shining's plot is a mystery that grips us to the end.
