I loved this movie! Full of suspense and it kept my heart pounding the entire time! Of course Gerard Butler is always a Great Actor as well as the others in the film. I will definitely recommend this movie to my friends! Also loved the PG-13 rating...

In the same vein as the film"2012", the end of the world scenario is played here from the perspective of an estranged couple, struggling with issues in their relationship, while being steadfastly devoted to their young, diabetic son. I'm a big fan of both Butler and Baccarin and they did a commendable job of blending emotion with action and taut suspense. I liked that they gave Morena a story of her own, midstream, and she was able to rescue her son without the aid of her big burly husband! She's fierce! The comet scenes looked very realistic and lent an element of impending doom that helped build suspense, as you never knew when they might come crashing from the sky! I thoroughly enjoyed this exciting escape ride from the "extinction event" threatening the planet. I'm sure I'll watch this again, just as I do many of my favorite disaster flicks! (And as I also do with most Gerard Butler movies!)

Incredible! Best disaster movie I've seen in a long time. Love that there was at least as much focus on the heart of the film as there was the disaster elements..
