The scenery and landscapes and colors were gorgeous, the friendship was sweet and exciting and beautiful, the music deepened the emotions of the movie. The thrills and suspense were engrossing and just made the emotional parts more captivating. I love that the story could be followed even without paying attention to the dialogue, not only as a storytelling craft but also as accessibility for my friends and I, who struggle at the movie theater due to things like dyslexia and processing disorders.

Reminded me of WALKABOUT (1971) similar scenario stranded underage kid(s) coming to manhood. In ALPHA's case the twist is how did man acquire his best friend? Love the tale and dating it back 20,000 years ago and the dialect was unique much like Mel Gibson's Apocalypto (Mayan) and The Passion of the Christ (Aramaic). I would easily put ALPHA in the same class as these films. Loved the time lapse scenes very well done and the soundtrack thumbs up. Also funny twist in the end that it was a female.
