The movie was okay. I can't say that I would've paid to go watch it though.

Overall the movie was a lot better than I anticipated. I liked that there was an unexpected twist to the story line that was not eluded to in the previews. The acting was nice. It was easy to empathize with the characters as you felt their despair, hope, love, etc. I did notice some similarities, mainly in lines, to Titanic which were interesting. Glad I was able to do the screening. Without the screening I probably wouldn't have watched the movie until it came to Redbox or something similar.

The is a good popcorn, chick flick kind of movie. The outer space is depicted beautifully, and the actors have done their job wonderfully. For me the movie falls short on the story. Up to the point where the captain of the ship wakes up, the movie follows a logical flow. After that it was all forced to get out of corners with awful writing shortcuts. The highlight of this ridiculousness is when they talk about how there is only one auto dock so only one person can go back to hibernation.
