I liked the plotline, very original. Felt the relationship between the teenagers moved to fast and was hard to believe.

The film had a wonderful message and was very thoughtful. While I would have loved to have seen more developmental stages of Gardner's life as a child it still had very moving moments throughout. Lots of yearning, adventure, and seeing our society and the small things in life through new eyes. Asa Butterfield really carried the film --I'm a huge fan of his work.

I was a little skeptical fifteen minutes into the movie: the acting, special effects, and plot all seemed a little weak. As soon as the movie bring main character Gardner to Earth, though, it becomes great. The themes of young love and wanderlust shine through the two stars in Asa Butterfield and Britt Robertson, and by the end they become a couple worthy of your emotions. A great movie.
