Great story. Great cast

Beautiful cinematography and love story. I liked it more than I thought I would. As usual great performances by Octavia spencer, Michael Shannon, Richard Jenkins and of course Sally Hawkins.

It was one of the few movies for which I stayed awake. The actress who played the heroine was spot on. The story was engaging. I enjoyed the scenery - how it was retro/shabby. My one complaint is that I was unprepared for the amount of sex and nudity. I'm not a prude, but I went with my 14 year old daughter. Awkward. She claimed to have fallen asleep for much of the film. 4-1/2 starsThe color palate and the score of this film would have been treat enough, but there is much more to this film. I loved Richard Jenkins! He had so many laugh-out-loud lines.
