It started slow and picked up. It was a good movie but not a 10.

Watchable once, presents a good message of love, peace, justice, trust, loyalty & tests friendship.But not as breathtaking as the 1959 version of Lew Wallace's book adaptation. Casting was not strong, music not spell-binding nor was screenplay which uses contemporary language. Cinematography as well as direction was poor.

It was an interesting movie, not really something I would go to the movies to watch but in 3D it was entertaining. If you are a Christian or Catholic I can see you really enjoying it.

It wasn't as good as the original because they tried to make it too modern and packed too much into an already established story. I enjoyed the cast and the scenery, especially the coliseum.
