I thought the pace was a little slow. I also thought that the message of the movie was good and the actors were fantastic but it wasn't as interesting as I thought it was going to be.

Brilliant performances by all four actors. The last half of the movie was riveting with intense performances by Kingsley Ben-Adir (Malcolm X) and Leslie Odom (Sam Cooke). This is a film that you really need to devote your full attention to and be pulled in to deep conversations between the characters, of which some topics are still relevant to this day. And I must say that Regina King did an amazing job as a first-time director. Kudos to her! Well done!
