Beautiful cinematography. Poignant acting by Andrew Garfield and Adam Driver and wonderful screenwriting. An amazing story of faith, suffering and mercy.

The movie held my attention and to see the struggles of father Rodrigues was very moving. I loved the musical score and the moments of silence in the film and felt the graphic depiction of how the Japanese handled Christians while brutal was so very realistic. Andrew and Adam as the young priests were a casting coup. Another one out of the park for Mr Scorsese
