Decent acting, but the script was quite awful and the story was just too easy. The few really funny or adorable scenes didn't rescue the overarching notion of the West being able to swoop in and fix everything for the poor native citizens. Most scenes were overly dramatic, but there was really incredible tension between characters, especially Thornton and Almeida. Those two stole the show for me!

Was better at the fluffy stuff than the serious stuff; was enjoyable to watch.

After suffering through a long, cynical election recently, I wasn't really in the mood to sit through a long cynical movie about elections. I disliked everyone in the story.

Good Movie that gave insight into how spin doctors get their employer elected.
