The movie is funny, and sensitive. It shares the love of two cousins traveling together, despite their differences. Benji is charming, wild, and uncontrolled, while David is reserved and more traditional. It is sad that Benji is so traumatized by life, and despite his magnanimous personality and many talents, remains lost in the world. I was impressed with Jesse Eisenberg’s talent as a screen play author, director and actor. I think the movie will do well, though not for a large audience.

Well written and directed, surprisingly short, a bit sad.

My friends enjoyed the film highly that we couldn’t stop analyzing the various meanings A Real Pain described thru the film such as genocide, troublesome mental health, the ways folks interact and connect with each other. We enjoyed the unraveling of pains

Was more depressing than funny. Great characters.
