I didn't like the way religion played with false believes and chain of events to lie to a little boy.Besides that, the acting and drama was very good. Specially that little boy...he had every one crying.

A good overall character sketch during iconic war period that takes place in small town America. This boy's journey to bring his father back home is laden with a fantasy driven motive that consequently intersects with faith and reality to achieve its goals. Themes are not necessarily new but serve to refresh our beliefs in eachother when feelings go awry during extreme times.
