I enjoyed how it straddled from the beginning of their relationship and the current. It kept me engaged and avoided it from being too slow.

I liked the movie but thought the start was little confusing I got what was happening just seemed like it was already running and we just jumped in the middle. Since its a true store I can't say what happened by not being there they seemed like they didn't have the experience they should have together and there love may have distorted the way there trip went. She did a great job fixing the boat to sail again; you never no how your survival skills would be till being put in too a impossible position. They should have told the people they needed more time to plan the trip. Sailing long distance takes lots of planning and having more time for safety. Love puts the blinders on us so we can't see the obvious. I have sailed in a storm not in the ocean like that but up too 15 foot swells and took me over three hrs too get to land that was only maybe 150-200 ft away in the dark on the Hudson. Lucky I had a friend that decided too jump in so I was not alone while the other was on the cat trying to free up the sails. Any way all was good. The movie brought me back to my childhood of sailing thanks.

It’s a beautiful love story but also an inspiring one as well. To see what Tami went through alone, well to find out she was really alone, knowing what she did to survive having lost the love of her life is heartbreaking. Shailene Woodley is an incredible lead actor in this film and Sam Claflin wasn’t too bad to look at either.

I would recommend this touching love story to my friends, although slow, the photography was gorgeous and the filming of the water sequences were amazing. I didn't know anything about the plot and the ending was a huge ah ha moment that gave me the chills. Great acting as well.
