Powerful! It's been a long time since another movie made me as emotional as this one. I'm already telling everyone to see it.

I've seen the documentary about Byran Stevenson, and this film is a wonderful portrayal of one of his cases. It's thought provoking and although it's a serious movie, it's humorous at times. It allows the viewer to become more compassionate, more merciful. This is a must see movie for humanity's sake.

The movie was tear jerking, emotional, and highlighted the racism faced by African Americans in the south. The wife in the movie played a matriarch of her family hiding them together and remain in h strong when everything around her was falling apart. Johnny D was a man wronged who continued to be himself through the entire movie despite the predicament he was in. The movie was captivating.

I knew it was going to be emotional and serious but it also managed to keep things light when neccessary. Sometimes all you have is hope and this movie reflected that well. The cast was great and it was nice to see a civil rights related movie set outside the 60s or 70s. There have been people struggling for years and that still continues today. I have already recommended and will continue to do s
