It’s definitely an interesting approach to an iconic character. Joaquin Phoenix is amazing as always. Also, the cinematography and score are great. It kind of drags in the second act, where it kind of feels like the film doesn’t really know where it’s going (specifically with the Thomas Wayne stuff). I think the message of the movie was kind of unclear. Should we feel bad for Joker or rich people?

Very dark & disturbing. Not for general audiences. Great acting by Phoenix. Too violent.

May have provided one dark version of the historic background leading to the origin of the Joker. It achieved the objective of making the viewer feel uncomfortable.

A great psychological thriller, but a forgettable joker.
