I like coming of age movies and I liked this film, I'm also a big fan of fresh off the boat.

Great cast, excellent editing, powerful soundtrack, dynamic story. I will be telling people about this film.

Boogie was a character that we don’t often get to see in movies, but is representative of a LOT of Asian-Americans out there. When I watched it, I could think of many people in my life I grew up with. Seeing him straddle a collectivist Asian and individualistic American culture was really relatable. When he chose the CNBA with the bigger picture of protecting his father, when he spoke to the fortune teller about respecting his ancestors, parents, girlfriend, those are real concerns.
