Decent movie. Still too much unnecessary violence, though. I would have expected a little more from Guy Ritchie. I'm finding myself wondering if the screenplay was that good or if I'm just thinking that cause it managed to confuse me. Either way, I suppose a constant sense of confusion does detract from the overall experience. The opening sequence was lame and cheesy. You could tell it was created by money-hungry executives.

Graphic violence. Surprising/suspenseful. Humorous, at times. Different roles for Hugh Grant & Matt M. Left you hanging, sequel?? Good film, just not my genre.

(Most of) the performances were great, and you could particularly tell that Hunnam, Grant, and Farrell loved chewing through Ritchie's blistering dialogue. But there was SO MUCH exposition through narration that the action and story dragged as a result. There were a handful of laugh-out-loud funny moments, some cringe-inducing racism that was ostensibly *supposed* to be comedic, and just a ton of talking throughout. But overall it was quite entertaining.
