The flash-forwards were disconcerting. They seemed to come out of nowhere with no real preface on what was going on. The visions Marie Curie would have throughout the movie were interesting perspectives that did add to how she could've potentially felt about her life's work. The movie moved so quickly through her life, one minute she was giving birth and the next getting the Nobel Peace prize, there was no time to breathe with the character so it gave it a frantic feel. It also really tried to spell absolutely everything out, there was no confidence in the viewers.

It tells a complicated story that few people know. The hospital phobia seemed overplayed and din’t contribute to the story. The modern uses and misuses of radium were interesting but neither her story or science.

I feel it's a movie that should've been a mini series, it tells us alot but never settles on anything. I feel that if it was more focused then it couldve been solid.\r

Pike delivers a great performance as Marie Curie, but sometimes the movie lags.
