You have to really understand the game of poker. Didn’t particularly care for the periods of narration. The movie was quite long. However the movie had its subtle funny moments. The surprising scene of Molly being beaten up like a man was gut wrenching.

I liked the movie and enjoyed hearing Molly’s story through Jessica. My friend and I both agreed it was much too long and a few scenes went on more than needed. I think if it was 30 minutes shorter and those scenes cut we would have liked it even more. Great casting! I was surprised to see Molly doing so much standing and running with her back injuries, I also thought it was strange they left out any relationships or sexual activity she may have had. Given that she was rich, drinking, using drugs and running games with mostly men... I thought that was a big part left out of the film. I think I will read the book now to learn more about her story!

The character portrayed by Jessica Chastain was excellent. I don't understand half of the terminology that was used for both poker and high finance, but felt the acting was excellent.
