Lots of really good special affects and cool moves and tricks but the girlfriend he just met after the movie started is his whole drive. The girlfriend is rather thin.

Typical action movie, but this one was a bit too predictable for me. I especially took issue with the way in which Jason Statham's character so quickly fell for the love interest played by Jessica Alba (cue eye roll here). Even worse, I started to doze off during the final fight scene...not a good sign for an action movie.

Plot seemed tv quality. Whole movie was set up & developed w/o any attention to detail /segues from part to part. Girlfriend as motivator of action is played out. And not a scratch on our hero as he wades through bad guys with uzis. Statham was down in the mix so it was often difficult to even understand his inane verbiage.Stunts inventiveness made the movie bearable. This movie needs a mechanic.

Beautiful cinematography highlight the exciting action sequences typical of a Statham film... Unfortunately, the plodding, nonsensical story line makes this snoozefest of a film straight to DVD worthy.
