Phoenix in a role he was born to play. Absolutely electrifying! Direction left something to be desired for me and the all too often "is this real or not?" began to grate on me. This absolutely did not need to be a Batman movie and I feel like Todd Phillips only chose Joker for the brand association - but if you take the film as a stand alone, it's riveting.

The movie is a bit slow at the beginning but gets much better as it goes. Joaquin Phoenix is an amazing joker. Definitely go see.

Excellent acting which was expected! Character development was excellent. Just a tad slow...

Very creative background story of the Joker. I like how they incorporated a young Bruce Wayne in the film as well. I also think the movie could have had a cameo or mentioned Harley Quinn but hey there is always room for a sequel. Looking forward to it Warner Brothers! Great job!
