It was interesting and I enjoyed learning about poker; however, I wouldn't see it again.

Truth is stranger than fiction, and this proves it again. I am so happy that Molly had a terrific Judge, and the Big Boys Club did not win this round, as they did with Martha Stewart. It always shocks me to see again and again how cruel human beings can be.

The movie: I generally enjoyed it, and have liked Sorkin's work in the past (The West Wing, Sports Night, etc.) but the beginning was much too fast, like they were trying to show how slick Molly was, and just because you talk fast & make glib jokes doesn't necessarily make you a compelling character. I thought it got better as it went along with some insight into gamblers and what motivates them, but I wondered how much was true and how much was spin. It is a great story though, and was gone in a quick, entertaining way for most of the time. The screening: If it's less than 30 degrees outside and you have people waiting, you MIGHT want to have someone going up & down the line to let you know when (or IF) you're going to get in. I'm glad we finally did, but I could have done without the guy next to me who cut in line and then talked to himself while we were waiting, and then made no sense when we asked him to move (he may have been on something, or just another NYC psycho). He also made quite a bit of noise (loud laughing, clapping, etc.) during the movie (though not as much as I'd feared he would) so an usher should have thrown him out.
