Beautifully shot, but slightly empty adaptation of the manga classic. This is GitS for Dummies - nice introduction to this world, but nothing at all groundbreaking to the initiated. Gotta see this on the big screen though - this movie is gorgeous.

It was a little lengthy, but overall entertaining throughout...I didn't catch why Major was also referred to as "Mira" by her treating physician, though it may have been a nickname
