Lionsgate attempt to create the equivalent of a RomCom with a star-studded cast falls completely flat. The plot is thin, the roles are generic, and there is no tension. Including women seems like an afterthought, and the manipulation to have a wife waiting for her husband to return from the war is so cliche. My friend gave it a C+. I'm not so generous. It's an F, as in F***ing disaster.

Good visual effects with aerial scenes. It is too long and it is weak in the story. It seemed superficial and a tad phony.Sorry, just not my kind of movie, though I like war movies.

The film had several issues, the first of which was the writing as the dialogue was generally of poor quality. Secondly, the CGI was at times distractingly obvious. Lastly, the film was about 45 minutes too long. As for the positives, the historical event was interesting and the film did a good job of being sympathetic to those fighting on both sides. They place the blame on those in power.
