It was a masterpiece. I will definitely be seeing it in theaters again.

WHAT A GREAT FILM. LOVED IT ON THE BIG SCREEN.

Fantastic world building. I felt fully immersed in the Viking reality, in all of it's supernatural, awful (awe-inspiring and terrifying), and cruel reality. A+ cinematography, visual storytelling, and acting. The ending was a happy one from the Viking perspective but not for a modern viewer, and I applaud the studio for letting Eggers have that ending. I also absolutely loved The Green Knight, although that film's protagonist is cut from a more modern cloth than The Northman's Amhelth.

I normally hate dark, bloody epics, but this one was so far over the top it was almost camp, loved it. Great photography and acting!
