Having lived at the time of these events, I found it pretty accurate and powerful portrayal.However, I do have one bone to pick - the movie was shown on an RPX screen (huge like IMAX) and all of the higher seats were sold for a charity event. GOFOBO clients were only allowed in the lower, neck-craning seats. If I had known, I probaly wouldn't have gone.

VERY GOOD MOVIE

Some of the speaking in this movie is too soft. You really have to strain to hear some of the dialogue.

Other than Oprah inserting herself into another movie simply because she has the money to do so, I thoroughly enjoyed this film. It wasn't about white people helping black people. It was a re-enactment of a historical event with a little extra drama thrown in for entertainment purposes. I highly recommend this film.
