it was an okay movie

I loved the acting, the action and storyline of the film. I felt the film was short for that type of storyline and that a lot of things were left unaddressed as the climax/ending quickly came. Another 20-30 more minutes to address a few key points and give the viewer a better explanation of why the "suspect" set the whole agency up to fail or be killed would have put me closer to a 5 rating.

The background of the anti-hero Silva, in establishing his back story is very unsubtle & he fails as a poor man's Jason Bourne/James Bond/Jack Ryan wannabe. The plot is too clever by half & ends up confusing the audiences. The climax in setting up future sequels & a new action franchise is clumsily done. The fight scenes are choppily edited & do an injustice to Iko Uwais' hand combat choreography.

Good action movie.
