I thought the movie was quite enjoyable. It was a realistic love story which showed the struggles that people can encounter when falling in love with someone who might not be in the same economic class, but love perseveres. I can only imagine how much pressure Solphie felt when she had to marry who her mom thought was best for you her, but not who she truly loved. The acting was superb and the music was quite enjoyable. I plan to watch it again with my spouse when it’s available.

Great movie, beautiful love story. I love the mix of music and a black love story!
