It was okay. Good performances but not strong enough to hold my attention very long. The subject matter was interesting. It was an awkward situation for the three men who came to the hotel room at the behest of Malcolm X and it made me feel awkward watching them. Aldis Hodge held his own.

Powerful, and above all uniformly excellent acting. Aldis Hodge will get fewer accolades, but his subdued Jim Brown supports Kingsley Ben-Adir and Leslie Odom Jr. as they take the spotlight. Give Odom his Oscar. 8.5/10
